Biography

Lloyd Parks is an influential Jamaican bass player, singer, and producer, known for his central role in the history of reggae. He began his musical career in the 1960s as part of the duo The Termites, alongside Wentworth Vernal, achieving success with the song «Have Mercy Mr. Percy,» produced by Coxsone Dodd.
Later, Parks founded his own record label, Parks, through which he released several solo recordings, including popular songs like «Officially,» «Mafia,» and «Slaving,» noted for his melodic voice and conscious lyrics.
